Hi, I’m Yul!
I’m a senior living in Palo Alto California and attending Valley Christian High School who loves solving real-world problems with AI, drones, and computer vision. Whether it’s helping detect wildfires, mapping safe evacuation routes, or building fun learning games for kids, I enjoy blending tech and creativity to make a difference.
Right now, I’m the Software Algorithm Lead for Wildfire Quest, a finalist team in the $11M XPRIZE Wildfire Competition. I’ve built real-time drone pathfinding systems and fire detection models using cameras and sensors.
I’ve interned at NASA Ames working on plant disease detection with drones, and I’m part of my school’s Advanced Aeronautics team where I train drones to navigate through obstacle courses.
I also build educational mini-games, teach Blender modeling through my project Basicubes, and co-found an AI tutoring startup. My goal? Use technology to solve big problems and help others.
Thanks for stopping by—feel free to explore my work!
